1985 Mercedes-Benz C126 series

• Grey paint looks dull overall, and the trunk lid shows white clear-coat peeling patches, so budget paint correction or a respray of panels.
• Rear badge reads 560 SEC, so check the year and model paperwork against the badge before paying — the listing title only says S-Class Coupe.
• Tan leather seats look intact with no big tears, so no full reupholstery bill, but they look worn and dirty.
• Tan carpets are stained and dirty, so budget a full interior detail.
• Dash top looks like a fitted cover rather than bare dash, and the gauge faces are dusty, with the odometer reading 103031, so inspect the dash underneath the cover.
• Underside looks dirty with surface rust on the oil pan and exhaust, though the floors look broadly solid, so budget a cleanup and rust check.
• Spare wheel well is empty of a spare and shows rust spots, so budget for a spare and a well tidy.
• Alloy wheels look unpolished but straight and tires look usable, so no immediate tire bill.
• Engine bay is only shown as a close-up of the core-support plates, so I can't judge the engine itself.
• One sampled photo is a Merit Cars dealer ad card with other classics, so the gallery tail is padded with advertising.

Money: At $12,950 the coupe shape and intact leather help, but dull peeling paint, filthy carpets and a rusty spare well make it a needs-work price, not a finished-car price.
