About this car
This 1966 220 is offered on eBay by westcoastclassics in Torrance, CA. It is listed at auction: the current bid stood at $67,125 when the listing was collected on November 3, 2026, with bidding scheduled to end on November 6, 2026. The car is finished in White over Beige/Tan, a manual gearbox. The odometer shows 17,221 miles. On a W111, check the sills and floor pans for rust and make sure the chrome and interior trim are complete, as those parts are expensive to replace.
What the photos show
- the trunk badge in the photos reads 220 SE, so the car in the pictures is a 220SE cabriolet even though the listing title says only 220, and the paperwork should be checked against that
- ivory paint is deep-gloss and straight on every panel shown, so no paint money is needed on what the photos show
- chrome bumpers, grille and wheel covers are mirror-bright, so no re-chroming bill is in sight
- one small rust spot shows at the bottom of the sill below the driver's door in the close-up, so a small local repair is due before it spreads
- tan leather seats front and rear look fresh, plump and unmarked, so no retrim money is needed
- the wood dash is glossy with clean gauges and a period Becker radio in place, so the cockpit needs no spending on what is shown
- the top is only ever shown folded away under its tan boot cover, so the top itself can't be judged from the photos and should be raised and inspected before paying
- no engine bay photo is shown in the sampled photos, so the engine can't be judged from the photos
- no underside photo is shown in the sampled photos, so the floors and chassis can't be judged from the photos
Money: at $67,125 the visible car is a glossy, fresh-trimmed manual cabriolet that needs almost nothing cosmetically, so the price hinges on the unseen top, engine bay and underside, plus confirming the 220SE identity in the photos.
