About this car
1951 Porsche 356 listed on eBay in Astoria, NY. Listing shows Burgundy exterior. Asking price $375,000 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Deep maroon paint is glossy and even on every panel in the outdoor photos, with doors, hood and rear deck lining up straight — no paint or body budget from these photos.
- Chrome bumpers, headlight rims and hubcaps are bright with no visible pitting or dents in the close views — no chrome budget from these photos.
- Tan folding top is shown folded under its boot and the fabric looks clean and untorn where visible — no top replacement budget from these photos, though it is never shown raised.
- Tan leather bench seat and door panels look smooth with no visible cracks, tears or sagging in the interior photo — no retrim budget from these photos.
- Painted dash, large central gauges and the ivory steering wheel all present cleanly with no visible cracks or missing trim — no dash budget from these photos.
- Engine bay is detailed and tidy, with clean paint on the fan housing and no visible oil mess or corrosion — no cosmetic engine-bay budget from these photos, and mechanical condition cannot be judged from a photo.
Money: the photos suggest no cosmetic money at all — any spend on this one is mechanical verification, not paint, chrome, top or trim.
