About this car
1955 Porsche 356A Coupe listed on eBay in Los Angeles, CA. Listing shows Manual transmission, Beige exterior. Asking price $67,500 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Cream paint is peeling with grey primer and bare patches across the rear and doors — a full respray is certain money.
- Black leather seats look surprisingly sound and complete — the cabin may be the one area that escapes a full rebuild.
- Engine bay is aged and rusty around the air filters and fittings — recommissioning will cost real money.
- Lift photos show a heavily rusted, flaking floor pan — structural metal work is the big bill on this car.
- A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is photographed in the gallery — the paperwork supports the car's identity, which is where its value sits.
Money: At $67,500 you are buying a documented project, not a car to drive home; paint, floor and engine work will likely exceed the purchase price.
