About this car
1960 Volkswagen Beetle listed on eBay in Woodland Hills, CA. Listing shows 1,048 miles shown, Manual transmission, White exterior. Asking price $21,000 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Pale blue paint is glossy and even over the hood, doors, roof and rear deck, panels straight all round — no paint budget from these photos.
- Chrome bumpers, headlight rims and hubcaps are mirror-bright — no re-chrome money; one wheel close-up shows small rust spots creeping at the hubcap rim, a minor tidy-up.
- Whitewall Kumho tires show deep tread in the close-up — no tire spend.
- The dash is clean with its Sapphire radio in place, but the ivory knobs are crazed and cracked with age — cosmetic only, no big interior budget from these photos.
- The glovebox liner is water-stained and torn and a rear seat underside shows burlap, springs and a string repair — budget small trim and seat-padding work.
- The one underside shot shows a dirty floor pan with surface rust colouring but no holes visible — worth a proper lift inspection before calling it solid.
- The last photos show an engine and transaxle out of the car on the ground, grimy with a rusty exhaust — the installed engine bay is never shown, so running condition can't be judged from photos.
Money: at $21,000 the paint, chrome and tires support the ask; the must-see item is the drivetrain — the only engine photos show a unit out of the car, so verify what is actually fitted and running.
