1963 Volkswagen Beetle listed on eBay in Richmond, VA. Listing shows 87,329 miles shown, 4 Speed Manual transmission, Gray exterior. Asking price $24,995 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Grey-green paint is glossy and even in the outdoor shots — front, sides and roof — panels straight and the roof rack with luggage sits tidy — no paint budget from these photos.
- One close-up of the rear deck shows fine swirl scratches in the paint around the badge — budget a machine polish, not paint.
- Chrome bumpers and hubcaps are bright front and rear — no re-chrome money.
- Blackwall tires show tread on body-colour wheels — no tire spend visible.
- Cream and grey door cards are clean and unmarked, headliner taut and clean, seats smooth in the views shown and the grey carpets look fresh — no interior trim budget from these photos.
- Front trunk is fully carpeted and tidy; the spare is a plain steel wheel with no hubcap and its tire looks older than the road set — small spend if you want it matching.
- No engine bay or underside photos in the sample — can't judge either, hold back money for that inspection.
Money: at $24,995 the glossy paint and clean interior back the ask; a polish for the swirled deck and the unseen engine bay and underside are the items to price in.
