About this car
1966 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible listed on eBay in Orlando, FL. Listing shows 18,871 miles shown, Manual 4-Speed transmission, Red exterior. Asking price $49,999 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Red paint is deep and glossy on every panel, wings and deck lid smooth — no paint budget from these photos.
- Chrome bumpers, side trim and hubcaps are bright — no re-chrome money needed.
- Wide whitewalls are bright and the red steel wheels tidy, spare in the front trunk is a blackwall on a painted rim — no tire spend from these photos.
- Grey cloth seats and door cards look clean and unworn, dash paint bright and carpets tidy — no interior budget.
- The black soft top is only shown folded down, fabric looks intact in the stack — its fit and sealing with the top up can't be judged, so see it raised before paying top money.
- Engine bay is clean and tidy, painted tinware and fresh hoses — no engine detail budget from these photos.
- Underside shots are dark close-ups of dirty, rough underseal — the metal underneath can't be judged from them, hold back money for a proper lift inspection.
- The last photos in the sample are showroom line-ups of other Beetles — they tell you nothing about this car.
Money: the paint, chrome, cloth interior and engine bay support the $49,999 ask; seeing the top raised and a clean look at the underside are the must-dos.
