About this car
1968 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible listed on eBay in Sherman Oaks, CA. Listing shows 53,644 miles shown, Manual transmission, Green exterior. Current bid $1 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Light green paint is glossy and even all round with straight panels and no rust or chips showing — no paint budget from these photos.
- Chrome bumpers and hubcaps are bright and clean, and the colour-matched steel wheels are tidy — no chrome money.
- Blackwall tires show good tread — no tire spend from these photos.
- The cream top is down in every photo and the folded fabric looks clean and untorn — but the top raised, its fit and its rear window can't be judged at all.
- Two-tone green and white seats front and back are smooth, tight and unmarked — no interior trim budget.
- Door cards and dash are clean and complete, with the painted glovebox lid matching the body colour — no dash spend.
- No engine bay photos in the sample — can't judge the engine, hold back money for that inspection.
- No underside photos in the sample — can't judge the floor pan or heater channels, hold back money for a lift inspection.
Money: the photos show a finished convertible with no cosmetic spend; with the listed figure at $1 the real price is unconfirmed, and the raised top, engine and underside are the must-see items.
