1971 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

• Metallic teal paint is glossy and even all round — hood, doors, fenders and rear deck — panels straight — no paint budget from these photos.
• Painted bumpers carry small chips and white scuff marks at the front, and the rear plate bracket is bare and rusty-looking — budget a bumper touch-up and bracket tidy.
• The tan top goes up taut and smooth and folds down neatly; the fabric looks clean in both positions — no top replacement budget from these photos.
• Body-colour eight-spoke wheels are clean and the tires show deep tread in close-up — no tire spend visible.
• Tan seats with cloth inserts front and rear look fresh and clean, carpets tidy — no seat budget; the driver's door armrest shows a small split, a minor repair.
• At the rear, rust spots show on the lower valance corners and both exhaust tips are rusty — budget for tips and a valance tidy, and check how far it goes in person.
• Engine bay is tidy and complete — black air cleaner, blue coil, clean carb — with light surface rust on the pulley centre and dusty heater hoses — budget a service and detail only.
• No underside photos in the sample — can't judge it, hold back money for that inspection.

Money: at $24,997 the glossy teal paint, tan top and fresh interior back the ask; the rusty rear valance spots and exhaust tips are the main spend, with the underside the must-see.
