• pale yellow paint is glossy and even, and the rear badge reads 450 SL, matching the title; the VIN plate reads 107.044 12 048471, built 6/78
• tan leather seats look excellent with no tears seen, so no reupholster money
• both tops are shown: the hardtop fitted in some photos and the black soft top up in others, its canvas looks good but the rear plastic window is wrinkled
• the front inner fenders and wheel arches show peeling undercoat and rust staining behind the shiny paint, so budget rust inspection and repair in the arches
