About this car
Hemmings listing in Beverly Hills, CA. Offered on Hemmings in Beverly Hills, CA.
What the photos show
- Silver paint is patchy with large dull, peeling areas on the doors and fenders, so a full repaint is in the budget.
- Side trim strips are missing with the mounting holes showing along the doors, so trim hunting and fitting money is coming.
- Sills and wheel arches look dirty and rusty in the close shots, so body rust repair comes before paint.
- Red seats and door panels look bright and recently redone, so the cabin needs little reupholster money.
- Rear side panel has odd orange and tan stripes that do not match the red seats, so budget to redo that panel to match.
- Dash looks complete but the red dash paint is worn, so dash refinishing money is likely.
- Silver hardtop is shown fitted in one photo, so a hardtop is present, but no soft top is shown up in the sample, so I can't judge the soft top's condition or cost.
- Trunk floor is heavily rusted across the whole pan in the photo, so trunk floor repair is a major bill.
- Engine bay firewall insulation is crumbling away and parts show heavy surface rust, so a full engine-bay restoration is likely.
- Underside on the lift shows widespread surface rust, peeling coating and a rusty exhaust, so underside and exhaust money is certain.
- Steel wheels with hubcaps look straight and tires look usable, so wheels are the least of the spend here.
- The last sampled photo is an exact repeat of the first photo, so the 45-photo gallery is slightly padded.
Money: At $29,950 this is restoration money — the rusty trunk, tired underside, patchy paint and missing trim will cost far more than the purchase price to put right.
