1966 Volkswagen Beetle listed on Hemmings in Chula Vista, California. Asking price $23,000 on Hemmings.
What the photos show
- Black paint is deep and glossy across the hood and fenders in the single front three-quarter photo, panels look straight — no paint budget from this one shot.
- Chrome front bumper and headlight rims are bright with no pitting showing — no re-chrome money from this photo.
- Thin-whitewall tires and painted steel wheels with hubcaps look clean — no tire spend visible at this distance.
- Red seats show through the glass and look smooth at a distance — can't judge wear or splits, no interior photo in the gallery.
- No rear, engine bay or underside photos in the gallery — can't judge any of them, hold back money for that inspection.
Money: at $23,000 the front three-quarter looks glossy and straight, but the rear, engine and underside are unphotographed — the ask rests on an in-person look.
