About this car
1973 Volkswagen Beetle listed on Hemmings in Denver, Colorado. Asking price $14,900 on Hemmings.
What the photos show
- White Baja/Herbie-style Beetle with '53' roundels, red-blue stripes and roof and bumper driving lights in this single view — the fun look is all cosmetic, so judge it as a modified car, not a stock one.
- Paint and graphics look even and glossy on the hood, door and raised rear fenders — no paint budget from this photo alone.
- Chunky off-road tires on silver wheels show deep tread and the car sits high on raised suspension — no tire spend, but budget to check the lift work in person.
- Interior only glimpses dark through the windows; seats, dash and any cage or cut bodywork can't be judged — hold back money for a close inspection.
- No engine bay photo in the sample — can't judge the engine or any Baja modifications, hold back money for that inspection.
- No underside photo in the sample — can't judge floors, pans or off-road damage, hold back money for a lift inspection.
Money: at $14,900 this one photo sells the Herbie/Baja look, but engine, interior, underside and the modification work are all must-see before the money is safe.
