Condition: The very first SL was a racing car until the US importer Max Hoffman requested a street version to sell here in the US. The SL was born in 1954 and the line has been going strong since. SL or "Sport Light" was a grand touring car that made a big first impression on wealthy auto enthusiasts post WWII. The third generation of the SL or the R107 as it was internally known as was built and sold for nearly twenty years, from 1971 through 1989 both in a coupe and convertible variant.
