About this car
1974 BMW 3.0 CS in Scottsdale, Arizona, offered by MotorGroup LLC at $79,995. Finished in Chamonix White over brown leather with a manual transmission and 62,283 miles; the seller describes it as restored to top, collector-quality condition.
What the photos show
- Cream-white paint is glossy and unmarked across the nose, flanks, boot and roof in the showroom photos, panels lining up straight — no paint or body budget from these photos.
- Close photos show the scuttle vent and front-wing vent slats clean and unbroken, with flawless paint around them — no detail-trim budget from these photos.
- Chrome bumpers, window surrounds and the 3.0 CS badging are bright with no pitting visible, and the glass is clear all round — no chrome or glass budget from these photos.
- An Alpina wheel centre close-up is crisp and unmarked and the wheels look clean in the full views — no wheel budget from these photos.
- The roof and sunroof panel paint is smooth and glossy with even panel gaps in the overhead photo — no roof budget from these photos.
- The sampled photos are all exterior: the interior is only glimpsed dark through the glass and there is no engine bay or underside view, so sill and inner-wing rust — the E9's expensive area — cannot be judged — budget for a lift inspection before pricing it.
Money: outside, this looks like a no-spend car — the only real budget question is the hidden E9 rust the photos never show.
