Vehicle Original VIN : 26235 1979 Porsche 911SC Targa This 1979 Porsche 911SC Targa is a highly original matching numbers example that would benefit from minor cosmetics and basic mechanical recomissioning at this time. Black with black interior. Showing 44k miles and offered with factory books and spare wheel. An honest car with a straight body and very solid undercarriage. It's been off the road in storage for the last 15 years and is not currently running. An excellent opportunity to acquire a well-preserved classic air-cooled 911. |

About this car
1979 Porsche 911 listed on eBay in Astoria, NY. Listing shows Black exterior. Asking price $49,500 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Black paint has gloss in the outdoor photos but looks swirled and dull across the hood and doors up close — budget for a full paint correction, not a respray from these photos.
- The car wears a Turbo-look whale tail and wide rear arches, all fitted and intact — originality is a valuation question here, not a repair, from these photos.
- Black Fuchs wheels with polished rims show no curb damage, and the rear PORSCHE reflector is bright — no wheel or trim budget from these photos.
- The black leather driver's seat shows a split seam and cracking along the cushion stitching, and the dash top looks faded in the cabin photo — budget for a seat repair and leather work, not a full retrim from these photos.
- The engine bay is complete but dusty and tired, with surface rust on the decklid hinge panel — budget for a recommissioning service and engine detail, not a rebuild from these photos.
Money: the photo money is paint correction, a driver's-seat seam repair and a recommissioning service — a driver's list, not a restoration.
