About this car
1985 Porsche 911 CARRERA listed on eBay in Monterey, CA. Listing shows 46,434 miles shown, Manual transmission, Black exterior. Asking price $135,000 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Black paint is glossy across the slantnose bodywork in the outdoor photos, and the wide fenders, louvred front wings and whale tail all sit straight — no paint or body budget from these photos.
- Gold mesh-style wheels with polished lips look clean and unkerbed — no wheel refurbishment budget from these photos.
- Black leather seats show light creasing on the cushions in the cabin photos — budget for leather treatment, not a retrim from these photos.
- The engine bay photo shows a large top-mounted intercooler and tidy pipework, presented cleanly — no detailing budget from these photos, though photos cannot say how the conversion runs.
- The lift photo shows a dry, solid-looking front underside with ordinary road grime — no floor repair budget from these photos.
- The top is only shown folded under its boot cover, so the raised top's condition cannot be judged from these photos, and a paperwork photo shows books and invoices come with the car.
Money: leather care and a top inspection — plus proper diligence on the intercooled engine the photos show but cannot vouch for.

The color combination is stunning and quite desirable. The transmission shifts smoothly through all gears, and the clutch and brakes feel great. The top is in great condition, and the electric function works well.
