About this car
1973 Volkswagen Thing listed on Hemmings in Alsip, Illinois. Asking price $29,900 on Hemmings.
What the photos show
- Bright orange paint looks glossy and even down the flat sides in this single side view, panels straight — no paint budget from this one photo.
- The top is folded down with its boot showing and the roll bar up — the top fabric, side curtains and rear window can't be judged at all.
- Chrome hubcaps are bright and the blackwall tires show tread — no wheel or tire spend visible.
- Interior only shows from a distance through the open top; seats and dash look present but wear can't be judged — no close-up in the sample.
- No front, rear detail, engine bay or underside photos in the sample — can't judge them, hold back money for that inspection.
Money: at $29,900 this one glossy side view looks clean, but almost everything that costs money — top, interior, engine and underside — is a must-see the single photo doesn't cover.
